More companies wanting to control the survey operation from a control centre at land, both for unmanned USV operations and more advanced vessel surveys where they have limited expertise onboard.


How to set up NaviPac on a supervisor computer to remotely supervisor NaviPac running on the USV computer: 


First, both computers (USV and supervisor computer) must be configured to be on the same network.


On the USV computer:

  • Options > Remoting...
  • Change mode to Master

Now the NaviPac project name shows Remote control enabled and IP address.


Now switch to the supervisor computer: 

  • Options > Remoting
  • Change mode to Supervisor
  • Type the IP and port from remote USV computer

Now the NaviPac project on the supervisor computer shows Connected to ...

 

And the Remote Navipac will appear as 

  • (Remote control enabled ….)( Controlled by …)
