The ATTU shows this message in the Ports page when the message is not understood, either by having the wrong baud rate, ASCII instead of Binary, or wrong port protocol.
In some instances it was noticed that despite having correct format / baud rate, there was a need to change format and or baud rate and then back again, to get data interpreted correctly.
