Q: How can I interface AIS in NaviPac?
A: In NaviPac AIS can be interfaced via AISIF.exe module as follows:
1. Add to the Warm Start the path to the AISIF.exe (C:\EIVA\NaviPac\Bin\AISIF.exe)
2. Save the project and Start NaviPac. AISIF.exe will start and will look like this:
3. Go to Edit, select Data input setup and do the following settings if UDP (only 10555) or COM port (any com port) and press OK:
4.AISIF now receives data and displays all the objects:
5. In Helmsman display the objects listed above will be displayed as follows:
6. The data is sent over to Helmsman display automatically on port 4884 if ticked in the Data output setup. In the Data output setup a gate and a gate center can also be setup. If data needs to be sent over also to NaviPac for other purposes the option Send selected objects to NaviPac needs to be ticked on (https://eiva.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/43000609177).
7. The settings are done and the result is seen as follows in Helmsman display:
