In the below video attached you can see how the full NaviEdit installer (Figure 1) is installed, SQL ODBC configured and NaviEdit first time connected to the SQL.

In the NaviEdit 9.x the SQL Server Express 2022 is included. When you don't have any SQL server already installed on the PC you are going to install NaviEdit, this is the option you should choose if you intend to use the default free SQL Sever with 10 GB limit.
