Most of the EIVA software packages can be run in Demo mode meaning sensors can be simulated only.
You could install NaviPac 4.6.3 and check it yourself.
To interface hardware e.g. GPS antenna, gyro etc you need a licence for the software package you have installed.
You can buy it on the EIVA  home page, for virtual training participants the licence will be provided by the teacher.

Use this option when running an older software version.
It allows you to create a softdongle.txt (the old activation method to activate EIVA software)
Allows to create a licence file for usage on a remote computer without internet connection (Offline pc)

The NaviSuite Licence Activator

The NaviSuite Licence Activator is used to activate a EIVA software package by entering a 9-digit licence activation code.

EIVA software packages have the Licence Activator included under the Help tab. It starts automatically when no licence is available.

Older software packages like NaviPac 3.10 don't have the LIcence Activator included and you need download it from the EIVA download site, https://download.eiva.com/ and install it.

The latest version is fetched by simply closing and reopening it once.

It has six UI elements that are described below.

  • Enter licence key
Enter the 9-digit licence activation key that you bought from the My EIVA self-service portal to activate the licence on your local computer as shown below:

  • Licence server
Use this option if you purchased an EIVA hardware network dongle, or you are running a EIVA Licence Server.

  • Add a licence file
Use when you want to load eg an emergency softdongle.txt that you got from the EIVA Support team or a *.licence file.
Note that a softdongle.txt file does not need to be loaded but can also be copied to the C:/EIVA/ folder to activate the software package.

Server licence

EIVA has also a Licence Server software that functions the same as the networked WibuKeyBox.

If you are in doubt about your 9-digit licence key, you can find out by entering it in the Licence Activator.

Here it shows the Server Licence information.

Note, that a Server Licence cannot be activated in the Licence Activator, but needs to be activated in the Licence Server software.
