Q: What does the option Use Stacked Navigation do?

A:  If the option Use stacked surface navigation is unchecked then NaviPac combines the USBL or LBL(or other underwater positioning system the it is used) data with the most recent CRP position and makes an update for each performed navigation cycle. This could be useful for towed operations.

If the option Use stacked surface navigation is checked then NaviPac will use the timestamp of the USBL or LBL (or other underwater positioning system the it is used) data and find the corresponding CRP by interpolation between the buffered data values. This is the normal setting for eg ROV operations. NaviPac will only calculate a new ROV position when here is a new update from the underwater positioning system.
