Q:
The Remote computer is connected to the NaviPac running on the primary computer, but the distribution objects like runlines, waypoints and background drawings do not appear on the remote. How can this be fixed?
A:
All computers should have the same software version of NaviPac installed.
The object distribution in NaviPac is based on the two Windows services (EIVA Master Service and EIVA Remote Service).
You can find them here:
If the object distribution or syncing of objects between the primary and remote computer does not work, follow these steps:
- On the primary pc browse to the Distribution Master node in the project tree
- Right mouse click and do a Update Master/Remote connection of the Windows Services
- Expected result: The distribution of Runlines, waypoints and drawings to a second computer setup as Remote Helmsman works now.
If the distribution does not work:
- Go to the primary computer
- Delete the file filter.txt (C:\ProgramData\EIVA\Services\Filter). The file will be recreated without any shared files that might block the distribution.
- Expected result: The filter.txt file looks similar to this and the distribution to the Remote computer is working:
