Q:
The object distribution/syncing (drawings, runlines, waypoints) between primary and remote computer does not work. What can I do?
A:
If the syncing does not work:
On the remote computer:
- Ping the primary computer. Ensure that the remote is on the correct network.
On the primary computer:
- Start NaviPac, type Services in the Windows search bar, and restart the EIVA Master Service.
On the remote computer:
- Restart the EIVA Remote Service
- Check that the Helmsman is set to Remote. You can check that in the menu bar.
- Go to C:\ProgramData\EIVA\Services\HttpSettings.xml and change the project to some random project and change it back
- Change it here, ctrl-s to save and wait a moment wile the remote service updates, and then ctrl-z (for undo) to change it back to original path.
On the primary computer:
- Close Helmsman's Display
- Remove the file C:\ProgramData\EIVA\Services\HttpSettings.xml.
- Restart NaviPac and Helmsman's Display, and the HttpSettings.xml is automatically recreated.
On the remote computer:
- This should recreate it. If it does not, restart your computer.
- Make a new Project on the remote
- Check UAC, give the services and user more privileges.
- Restart the computer
