Q: How does the digiquartz depth (compensated) instrument works in NaviPac?

A: Digiquartz depth compensated instrument(1) if added in the configuration together with a digiquartz barometer/ vaisala barometer instrument (1) will give the data compensated for the atmospheric pressure read from the barometer installed on the vessel. When going or during Online, if the barometer instrument fails, the atmospheric pressure defined in the Depth Calculation Parameters - Pressure at Surface (in NaviPac Online under Options) will be taken (2).

Digi quartz depth driver or similar non-compensated will use the Pressure at surface defined as shown above.
