Q: Does VSLAM improve or correct the INS data?
A: VSLAM uses the INS to initialise its mapping, but does not constrain or correct INS drift. The INS data is not altered or adjusted by VSLAM. If the drift of INS is not constrained by GNSS, USBL or some other kind of aiding after some time your collection will become unreliable.
