NaviSuite Kuda Core logs your survey data through NaviScan, into SBD files.

The logging toolbar

Once acquisition is running and NaviScan is connected, the NaviScan logging and settings toolbar appears. It has three options:

  • SBD file logging - turns logging of the NaviScan SBD file on or off.
  • Split to new SBD file - starts logging into a new SBD file without stopping acquisition (useful for breaking a long survey into smaller files, for example per runline or per section).
  • Settings - opens the sonar settings.

Before you can log

Make sure acquisition has been started and NaviScan is connected to the project. In the Project tree, the Online node should show green dots, indicating an active connection. If the dots are red, remove the Online node and connect again, you will not get valid logged data while the connection is red.

Note: SBD files are your recorded survey data and are stored with the project. They are separate from the diagnostic/crash logs, which are kept in the Kuda Core Diagnostics folder.
